Home Depot is a bad business, and it appears they want to leverage this to accuse the customer in question of being uncreditworthy when they are not. What can the customer do in this situation? They are under threat of having bogus finance charges placed on their account statements, as a result of Home Depot refusing to take their payments. A Home Depot training is not going to get you anywhere with a serious contractor. Getting into an apprenticeship is not only free to you, you also get paid to work while you learn the trade. Finding unconventional routes isn’t a great idea. There are pros and cons to buying it from home depot vs the plumber buying it from a wholesaler. Main thing is warranty issues. If the heater has problems the plumber that installed it will be able to either replace the unit or change parts with ease, won't have to call customer service and deal with all the bs. Not sure about now — but a few years ago, some Home Depot regions went full-uniform; meaning no more undercover/plainclothes at all. Looking at buying a new washer and dryer, and curious what my best option is for a protection plan. Is Home Depot's any good? Other suggestions for service assistance beyond the initial manufacturer warranty? The Home Depot store employee who set everything up told us that their carpet subcontractors were great, but he has a harder time recommending the local hardwood and tiling subcontractors because of customer issues (also those jobs are less forgiving than carpet). Also, you can ask HD who they use as subcontractors and google them for reviews. We need new carpet in our home and before I delved into a bunch of research on who to go with I was wondering if anyone had an opinion based on their own experience of who usually provided the better and more affordable carpeting Home Depot or the local carpet places. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you!.
